News, Views, Stuff for Private Jet Flight Attendants

All Around Business Aviation

Plenty is taking place in business aviation these days so I’ll highlight a few of “the happenings” here:

JetDirect and Sentient are merging to create one of the largest provider of business jet services in the country. According to a press release, JetDirect’s current CEO, Gregory Campbell, will become the CEO of the new operation. Sentient purchased Atlantic Aviation Flight Services a few years back, so this move will likely put the new concern front and center in the business aviation world.

Cerulean Jet is doing its part to neutralize carbon emissions. As we all know, the carbon limiting craze is at full force thanks to U.N. and corporate backed initiatives.

Jill Packer recently listed her resume on this site. Jill is an accomplished corporate flight attendant currently residing in South Florida. An NBAA member, Jill is open to relocation and is pursuing her NBAA management certification. Hire experience when you hire Jill Packer!

Speaking about the NBAA, the next regional conference will be held on April 26th in HPN. Yes, that is White Plains, NY for those of you not familiar with airport codes!

Updating Bobbie’s Blog Links

Dr. Bobbie Sullivan, who is a research psychologist and the moderator of our Stress and Health forum, has updated several blogs that she manages.

The Flight Attendant News has been renamed the Cabin Crew News and has been given a new web address while the Professional Pilot News has kept its name but it, too, has a new address.

A third blog, Aircrew Health News, has updated information but no address changes while Doc’s most popular blog, Aircrew Buzz, has new information included but no other changes.

The updates to Doc’s blogs come as the blogging host, Blogger/Blogspot — a Google company — has given bloggers more options concerning site control. For additional helpful information, you may also want to visit Dr. Sullivan’s Aircrew Health website, a website containing lots of good stuff for flightcrew.

Introducing Killeen Cornish

Corporate flight attendants are some of the most resourceful people that I know. Many are married, raising kids, and actively earning a living. Quite a few have started their own businesses, some of which are directly related to business aviation while others have chosen to turn a fun hobby into a nice side job or career.

Killeen Cornish comes to us from the Phoenix area where she has been juggling a number of responsibilities over the years including working as a commercial flight attendant and raising a family. Killeen also operates a business — Handmade4Baby.Com — a site featuring unique handmade baby gifts. You can find cotton blanket sets, custom covers, and more on her site or even purchase a gift certificate.

Please join with me in welcoming Killeen, an October 2006 graduate of Alteon Training who has already found some corporate gigs, but welcomes the opportunity to take many more.
